StageWest's 'Exit Laughing' has audiences coming back for more StageWest Community Theatre, Inc. had a great opening weekend of its latest production, "Exit Laugh- ing" by Paul Elliott and directed by Kay Byron Pacheco. "O.ur audiences truly enjoyed the show" publicity director Nancy Kuonen said in a news release. "Some of the com- ments heard were 'Best show we have seen in a long time" 'What a great cast, they all work well together" 'I haven'tlaughed hard for a long t ne/and'The theme of the play struck a chord in my own life.'" Kuonen said some audience mem- bers are already making plans to come see the play again. More performances take place this Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., with a Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. This will be the last Sunday matinee performance of this play. There is also the production's "Dinner Theatre" that takes place Saturday, March 14, at 6 p.m. Reser- vations are required for the dinner theatre and must be made by Friday March 13, Dinner Theatre tickets are $25 per person and can be made by calling Kathleen Bell at 235-2441. For more information contact Bell or Pacheco at 235-5742. OBITUARIES Wendy Kay Cook Wendy was born in Pullman, Wash., Feb. 7, 1956 to her lov- ing parents Leon and Frances Mayfield. She was called home after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Feb. 10. ~endy loved her ily 'and friends. She also loved all the children in the Cheney School District where she worked for over 20 years and was better known as simply, the lunch lady. In her spare time Wendy was a published poet and loved sew- ing, embroidery, gardening, and most of all baking. She made some of the best deserts that any well- known chef would be envious of. Wendy was pre- ceded in death by her parents Leon and Fran- ces Mayfield as well as her sister Melinda Phelps. United Methodist Church The third Sunday of Lent will be observed this week at the Unit- ed Methodist Church. He was born in Rockford, Ill., April 16, 1978 to Rowland Harp and Karen (Johnson) Garner. David was a graduate of Lewiston High School in Lewiston, Idaho and also spent eight years in Auburn, Wash. He proudly served his country from 2000 to June 2013. David was deployed to ::!{ ..... Kosovo, Iraq and Afghani- start, twice. He is sur- vived by his wife, Jes- sica Harp of Cheney; chil- dren: Emalyth, Abygael and Ewyn Harp; mother, Karen Garner; sisters: Shawna and Janelle Garner and,niece Trinity Rus- sell. He is also survived by In-laws: Michael and Brenda Stroh: sisters-in- law: Sarah Bell and Julie Gregory.
