I was definitely in my element there." In addition to being the Medical Lake library's supervisor, Stephenson also serves as a company commander in the Army Reserves. She currently lives on a farm with her family in Medical Lake. When she saw the opening at Medical Lake, she jumped at the chance. "I thought it was perfect for me," Stephenson said. For Stephenson, transitioning into her new role has been a learning experience and a challengethough her staff and community members have been helpful. "It's been many years since I've worked in a pub- lic library setting,', Stephenson said. "It's been fun getting reacquainted with it and the community has been so nice." In the future, Stephenson said she would like to tailor some of the library's programs to the military families and farmers that live in the community. Among all her work she helps people like me find someone who likes to talk. Our visit is a friendly chat that often becomes a column in the Cheney Free Press. Brady has kept her strong decisions about what she will or will not do. She says, "Life is what you make it. Considering a deci- sion, I say, I can if I want to. You live by the choices you make." Brady has three older sisters and one older brother. People are often curious about other families. Bonnie has been through the question mill. "People will ask me: Are you sure you're related? You're so different." Like a teacher, Brady explains to the questioner, "Our personalities are different." Bonnie, we wish you many days of sunshine and happiness. We hope to visit with you again soon. Luella Dow is a Cheney-area author. She can be contacted with comments and story ideas at lotsaplotsl@aol. com.
