Page 12 Free Press Thursday, April 23, 2015 l What does Prop 1 do? WhyVoteYES on Prop 1 ? How does Prop 1 Work? Creates more than 1000 new jobs in our community Fund $120 million of improvements! Prop1 will expand transit service and build new projects across the County, from the WestPlains to Liberty Lake. Prop1 WILL NOT affect gas or most food purchases and it will sunset after 10 years for accountability. It will add 25% in route hours... which means better more convenient service for those who rely on public transportation the most, like the elderly, low income and disabled. Prop1 will help the local economy by capturing over $57,000,000 of money that could come to SpoKane only if Prop1 passes. Projects and service =ncreases are spread all over Spokane County include City of SpoKane Valley, Liberty Lake, the West Plains and SpoKane. Our public transit system provided over 11 million rides in 2014 and if we want a strong vibrant local economy a yes vote will ensure that Spokane continues to move in the right direction. Pnapl is the result of 5 years of public process and input. The goal is abundant access to buses: more choices = more mobility The three-tenths of one percent is equal to jdst three cents on a ten dollar purchase and your property taxes will NOT be affected by Prop1. And this only works if you voteYES on April 28th. What are community business leaders saying about P oi: 1?
