Any individuals listed as cited, charged or arrested are CHENEY April 18 Residential burglary was reported on the 800 block of Fourth Street--jewelry was stolen. A two-vehicle non-injury collision occurred on the zero hundred block of B Street. April 19 Rick L. Schattler, 45, was arrested on the 2200 block of First Street for Department of Corrections felony and Spokane warrants. Two ladders were reported stolen from the 600 block of West First Street. April 20 A blue bicycle was found on the 2400 block of North Sixth Street. Assault was reported on the 2400 block of University Lane. No arrest was made. Domestic violence-verbal only was reported on the 2300 block of University Lane. Kristofor M. Rice, 18, was arrested for possession of mari- juana on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. A two-vehicle collision oc- curred with minor injuries on the 2300 block of Washington Street. April 21 Police assisted Pierce Coun- ty Sheriff's Department with a courtesy report regarding a child abuse investigation. A suspicious circumstance was reported-an individual reported sexual impropriety that occurred 6 months ago on the 2300 block of University Lane. Investigation is ongo- ing. Assault was reported on the 500 block of Scenic Heights. April 22 A suicidal subject was in- voluntarily committed to the hospital from the 200 block of Walker Drive. Travis R. Atherton, 20, was arrested for driving under the influence, reckless driving and minor in possession of alcohol after he hit a fence and his vehi- cle rolled over on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. No injuries were reported. April 23 A handgun was reported found on the 1200 block of Sal- nave Road. Damage to a vehicle was re- ported at Cheney High School. April 24 Restrooms wre damaged with graffiti on the 200 block of Presley Drive. Money was taken from Cheney High School. License plates were taken from a vehicle on the 200 block of Fifth Street. A mailbox was damaged on the 400 block of Fifth Street. Anthony N. Myers, 22, was arrested on the 1000 block of Betz Road for theft of a propane tank. EASTERN WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY April 19 Officers assisted Cheney police with a possible trespass on the 2600 block of Wheaten Lane. No arrests made. April 20 A theft of an iPod was re- ported at the Phase equipn lent room. No suspects. April 21 Officers responded to a call of a possible fight on the ;ev- enth floor of Dressier Hall. ?we female students were conta,'ted and neither wanted to press charges. Incident referre d to the Office of Student Rights iand Responsibilities. ! April 22 Officers responded to a call of a possible liquor violation at Pearce Hall. Two intoxicated female students were contacted on the fourth floor that said hey had been furnished alcoholin a room on the 10th floor. Incident referred toOSRR. A campaign banner valued at approximately $100 wa, re- ported stolen from the carr pus grounds between JFK Lib:'ary and Williamson Hall. No us- pects. Officers assisted Spokane County Mental Health counsel- ors in contacting an individual in Dryden Hall. University officer assi,.;ted Cheney police on a rollovel ac- cident along Cheney-Spalgle Road near the Grove apartr lent complex. Officers tracked d,)wn the vehicle's male driver, "pcho was determined to have t peen drinking alcohol. The driver was arrested for driving m Mer the influence and minor in os- session. April 24 Officers responded o a medical call at Dressier Ha El. A female student was transported to the hospital for undisclgsed issues. I Officers assisted Cheney police on a report of possible trespass at Eagle Point Apart- ments. It was later learned the suspect had entered the wrong apartment and taken a propane tank. Suspect was cited. April 25 Officers werecalled to the Townhouse. Apartments on a possible fraud. Incident is un- der investigation. Officers responded to a pos- sible theft call at the Pence Union Building. Incident is under investigation. Officers responded to Louise Anderson Hall on a report of harassment. Incident is under investigation. MEDICAL LAKE April 19 Police responded to reports of a suicidal male on the 4900 block of South Buell Lane. The man's wife told police her 53- year-old husband had been drinking and threatening to shoot himself before he took his gun and left via four-wheeler into the nearby woods. The woman was evacuated from the home while a police heli- copter searched for the man but nothing was found and the incident was forwarded to mental health. April 20 Reckless driving was re- ported in the vicinity of West Brooks Road and North Staples Street. An officer received informa- tion on possible drug activity after making a traffic stop near West 4th and North Lefevre streets. A garage was reported bur- glarized on the 1000 block of East Lake Shore Drive. Police advised two males seen camping on Eastern State Hospital property that they were trespassing and needed to leave. Police responded to a suicid- al subject on the 12700 block of South Gardner Road. A woman was transported to the hospital for evaluation after her husband reported she had taken an un- known amount of prescription medicine. April 21 A residential burglary was reported on the 100 block of North Prentis Street, where a man said a game unit worth $100 and games worth $60 were missing. Police later referred a juvenile male to detention services for the burglary as well as attempting to sell stolen property. Police responded to reports of assault near East Campbell and South Walker streets. Wit- nesses said a male Was seen punching a female before leav- ing the scene. The male was not found but police took a domestic violence report from the victim. Reckless driving was re- ported onthe 1000 block of North Christopher Street. A car was seen speeding up and down the road in the vicinity of children. Police took an assault re- port on the 500 block of North Brewer Street. The complainant said her friend had grabbed her before leaving the premises. April 22 An uninvited guest was re- ported on the 700 block of North Jefferson Street. A man said his mother-in-law was there in vio- lation of a protection order. Police took a report of forg- ery on the 700 block of East Joshua Drive. A man said his wife filed a joint tax return without his permission. A resident on the 300 block of East grace Street reported that two tires had been slashed on his van. April 23 Police responded to reports of a fight outside a bar on the 100 block of East Lake Street. April 24 Police responded to a land- lord/tenant dispute on the 300 block of South Washington. A man accused his landlord of entering his house without per- mission and stealing a bong. Police assisted Washington State Patrol on a fatal traffic coilision on Interstate 90 near the Medical Lake interchange. Pe Ell, Wash. resident William L. Ainsworth, 73, died on scene afterthe- ear-he-was driving collided head-on with a car driven by Jessica L. Sharp, 19, of Liberty Lake. Ainsworth was headed eastbound in one of the westbound lanes at about 8:40 p.m., troopers said. Sharp was taken to the hospital along with the driver of a third car, Moses Lake resident Jackie C. Borup, 35, and Borup's passenger An- drea C. Borup, 9. The accident is under investigation. AIRWAY HEIGHTS April 20 An adult male was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended on Highway 2 and Craig Road. Officers took a report of a code violation that occurred on the 1800 block of South Camp- bell Road. April 21 An adult male was arrested on a warrant for violating con- ditions of release on the 700 block of South Easy Street. Two adult males where ar- rested for second-degree crimi- nal trespass, third-degree theft and DWLS on the 11000 block of West Highway 2. April 22 An adult male was arrested for a warrant for failure to reg- ister as a sex offender onthe 100 block of North Hayford Road. An adult male was arrested for tlird-degree DWLS on High- way 2 and Albert Street. Officers took a report of a domestic dispute that occurred on the 100 block of North Hay- ford Road. April 23 An adult male was arrested for third-degree DWLS that occurred on Craig Road and McFarlane Road. An adult male was arrested for failure to appear for a third- degree DWLS charge that oc- curred on the 100 block of North Hayford Road.
