Nicol, senlo right bander, pitched a coal twMitter, al- l,owimg the IndiaNs only a pair of scratch singles. He ran his season record to 10-1 th the win, while the Blackhawlcs finished the season with a 15-2 record. Pierce Paces Hitting Chancy got two runs in the first innir:g as Mike Liddell DAVE NICOL and Don Pierce scored after gettinlg on base with singles. Jamie Mullenix scored the third run in the fourth inning atter getting of, wt.h a single. Pierce led Cheney batters with two for three, both sing- les. Chuck Dittmar, the leading Baekhawk hitter this season, was blanked in three official trips to the pla4e. He walked once. Dittmar finished the season with a hefty .458 aver- age. Coach Don Monso, said his average easily tops any other player he h, as coached at Chancy. DitLmar was the only reguIar to finis,h with an aver- age of .300 or better.
