A vehicle was keyed and spray-painted. A suicide attempt was reported on the 2300 block of First Street. The individual was voluntarily com- mired. June 30 Joslynn N. Watkins, 20, was arrested for fourth- degree assault/domestic violence on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. Residential burglary was reported on the 700 block of West First Street. The occupants were away from their house and their door had been forced open. Po- lice won't be able to determine if anything is missing until occupants return home. July 1 A resident of a home on the 3300 block of Normal Park Road called police and reported that a man had been pounding on the home's front door. When the resident told the man he would call the police, the man ran. His car was eventually found halfway down an embankment on Normal Park Road. Third-degree theft was reported on the 2700 block of A10gdon Way. A watch and stereo were reported stolen from two different vehicles. Third-degree theft was reported on the 100 block of North Ninth Street. A folding knife was taken from a vehicle. A Washington state driver's license was dropped off at the Cheney Police Department. The license was destroyed after it was determined it had already been replaced. Second-degree theft was reported on the 2400 block of University Lane. A wallet and its contents were reported taken. Incident was later determined to be unfounded when the wallet and contents were found. Third-degree theft was reported on the 2800 block of A10gdon Way. Jumper cables were taken from a vehicle. Police received a report of a missing person. A man's ex-wife, who lives in Spokane, called Cheney Police and reported his car had been found at Spokane International Airport. She then reported receiving a text that he had taken a flight to Nevada. Nevada and California highway patrol units made contact with the individual, who has since returned home. July 2 Second-degree theft was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. Tools, a computer and golf clubs were taken from a vehicle. Second-degree burglary was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. Stereo equipment, tools and golf clubs were taken from a garage and a vehicle inside the garage. Third-degree theft was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. A Kindle was taken from a vehicle. Second-degree theft was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. A gym bag and its contents that included a wallet, along with various other bags and backpacks were taken from three different vehicles. Trespassing was reported on the 500 block of SaLnave Road. Walter L. Dodson, 24, was arrested at Cheney Mu- nicipal Court on a Spokane District Court warrant for driving while license suspended (DWLS). Third-degree theft was reported at Jarms Hard- ware. A cellphone was taken. July 3 A house key was found on the 100 block of West Fifth Street. July 4 Police assisted the Spokane County Sheriff's Office on a trespass incident on Anderson Road south of the railroad tracks. A missing person was reported on the 2200 block of North Sixth. The subject was located. Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 300 block of Erie Street. Third-degree theft was reported on the 300 block of Erie Street. A cellphone charger and CD books were taken from a vehicle. July 5 Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported at the Cheney Trading Company. A black bicycle was thrown into the city pool on the 700 block of Cedar Street. July 6 Alcohol incident involving minors was reported on the 1100 block of Betz Road. The driver of a vehicle involved in a one-car, non-injury rollover was a juve- nile and was charged with driving under the influence while the passenger, also a juvenile, was charged with minor in possession. MEDICAL LAKE June 30 Assault was reported on the 2300 block of South Salnave Road. Residential burglary was reported on the 700 block of East Fellows Street. Suspects are possibly known to the victim. Theft was reported on the 700 block of East Fel- |ows Street. July 1 Theft was reported on the 200 block of South Washington Street. Jewelry and household items were taken. Suspects are possibly known to the victim. July 2 Assault was reported on the'1100 block of North Edna Street. Joshua M. Thomas, 23, was arrested at North Stan- ley Street and State Route 902 for a domestic violence no contact order violation. July 3 Trespass was reported on the 800 block of West Maple Street. No items were taken and nothing was damaged. AIRWAY HEIGHTS July 1 A stolen vehicle was recovered on the 200 block of South Hayford Road. Tyler J. Braze, 19, was arrested at 12th Avenue and Hayford Road for second-degree DWLS. A missing person was reported on the 1400 block of South Albert Street. Third-degree theft was reported on the 13200 block of West Highway 2. Sheleigh R. Taylor, 46, was arrested on the 12800 block of West 14th Avenue for third-degree theft/ shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance/ oxycodone. July 2 Brooke L. Scholl, 25, was arrested on the 12100 block of West Chandler Street on a warrant for third- degree theft. Cirtis W. Crittenden, 32, was arrested on the 13100 block of West 13th Avenue on a warrant for assault. A burglary was reported on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue. July 3 Tyler J. Donaldson, 19, was arrested at Northern Quest Drive and Hayford Road for third-degree DWLS. July 4 Gabriel J. E. Yates, 28, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for aiding in third-de- gree theft/shoplifting. Margaret A. Dean, 45, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for second-degree burglary. July 5 Second-degree theft was reported on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road. July 6 A burglary was reported on the 300 block of South Aspen Street. July 7 Lost property (no description given) was found at Northern Quest Drive and Industry Way.
