Phishing email scam using Better Business Bureau name Spokane's Better Business Bureau chapter is warning business owners and consumers not to open bogus emails that began arriving in email boxes Sept. 10. The emails are disguised to look like BBB cor- respondence and ask people to open an attached Standard Business Questionnaire (SBQ), a form that BBB uses to gather information from busi- nesses to create or update BBB Business Reviews. Instead, the attachment delivers malware to the user's computer. There are three ways to recognize these scam emails: The "From" line is "BBB Accreditation Ser- vices , the "Subject" line references "BBB SBQ Form" along with random reference numbers, and the malicious attachment is labeled "BBB SBQ" BBB is asking anyone receiving fraudulent emails to forward it to phishing@council.bbb. org.
