County seeks information on Fish Lake vehicle break-ins By JOHN McCALLUM Editor Spokane County Sheriff's Office investigators are looking for information regarding a series of ve- hicle break-ins that took place Friday, Sept. 21 at the Cheney-Fish Lake trailhead at Fish Lake. Sheriff's Office public information officer Dep. Craig Chamberlin said three incidents occurred at roughly the same time, 9 a.m: In one incident the driver's side window was smashed out and items were taken from the vehicle, including a woman's purse, wallet, credit cards and other items. In the other incidents windows were smashed but no items reported stolen. No arrests have been made. Chamberlin said they are looking for three men, two white males and possibly a Hispanic male who were seen in the area around that time, adding that one of the victims said they could identify the men if seen again. Chamberlin said that there might be others with either information or who may have also had their vehicles prowled but haven't come forward yet. "There were numerous vehicles out there (at Fish Lake)," he added. Anyone with information regarding these break- ins, or needing to report a break-in is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
